[2NL] QQ & hate the flop

Not much info on villain. 39/22 through 23 hands and hadn't folded to 2 3bets previously. He also folded 67% of the time to Cbets on the flop.

There are more factors to how to size 3b's than just making it 3x's the original raise. These factors include: position, what size villain will call worse with, setting up stack sizes so that your hand plays well postflop (it's frequently ahead when money gets in, for example), etc. Prolly getting much more than that into it would be spoon-feeding.

Flop is a very standard bet/fold for value. You are getting him to call a wide range of worse hands by value betting, but when he raises, he either has hands that A) are ahead, B) are WAY ahead or C) play very well against your specific hand in position.

Thanks again. I don't like 3betting too high with hands like QQ/JJ because I just slow down too much when an overcard hits and they call my cbet, which always seems to get me in trouble.

How many turns do we like? I count one. Just fold to flop raise. I think the flop bet is too small, too.
3bet pre seems ok to me, it's larger than I default 3bet but vs someone who's already called 2 3bets in 23 hands, I'm increasing my sizing each time until I find his limit. Next time vs this guy 3bet more.

raise more pre because he will call at least 1bb more with the same range. flop is a pretty comfortable fold for me. a naked ace or king of hearts alone is practically flipping a coin vs your hand. and that's probably the bottom of villain's range.

A lot of the stuff people post in reply to my hands I know I should be doing/thinking, but for some reason I don't think of it during my hand. Starting to annoy me now.

There's kind of a muscle memory to thinking like this, and you eventually are practiced in knowing what concepts/considerations/etc in certain spots. Just so long as you're one of the ones who sees merit in how we're picking your game apart, you're one of the ones who has a chance of going through the eternal process of sucking less at poker.

That's why I keep posting hands, even if I know I have played them super badly. Just to get other people's advice. It's definitely helping me

agree. also i think playing regular sessions with less tables, even as few as two (omg), and taking heaps of time to consider the absolute optimal play/sizing based on all the information you can gather in each non-trivial decision is a good way to fast-track this process.

Yeah I try but on PS all the micro limit tables are set to fast so you get roughly 8 seconds to decide what you are going to do and actually do it.

Fast Tables

Games may be designated as ‘fast’ in the list of games in the PokerStars game client. These games are designed to run at a faster pace than a standard table, and have some important differences.

• In No Limit and Pot Limit games, you have 18 seconds to act (instead of 35).
• You have 1 second to choose whether to show or muck your hand (instead of 3).

Time Bank

• In ring games, your time bank on each table will be 30 seconds.
• Your time bank will increase by 10 seconds for every 50 hands into ime Bankwhich you are dealt at that table.
